Description: Foundations in Personal Finance
is designed to teach students how to stay out of debt and use money
as a blessing. We will use this Dave Ramsey curriculum to learn in a
hands on way how to prepare for our future. Each chapter is presented
in video form. Dave creatively weaves in humor and real-life stories
that educate and reinforce sound principles of managing money. Along
with the video, students will have a workbook to complete as well as
several hands on assignments. Unit 1: Saving and Investing
Unit 2: Credit and Debt
Unit 3: Financial Responsibility and Money Management
Unit 4: Insurance/Risk Management and Income/Careers

In The Power of Givingan optional supplemental chapterDave teaches students why giving is an important aspect of a healthy lifestyle. Tutor: Heather
Horn received her B.A. and M.A. in Education from Concordia University,
St. Paul. She taught three years in the public school system before
beginning her own educational business. She has been home schooling
and tutoring students pre-kindergarten through college level for the
past twelve years. Her business, Individual Education, provides students
with a one-on-one learning environment that meets individual learning
