Length: 2nd semester class Class Period: Thursday, period 1

Description: Learning to take photos in a real time setting is a valuable photography skill. In Event and Action Photography, students will learn the fundamentals of camera manipulation, composition, and develop a sense of timing. We will also experiment with other techniques such as motion capture, using motion blur, and artistic expression with shutter manipulation. Assignments will focus on applying their new skills in everyday life situations and sporting events. Class projects will include a mock birthday party and talent show, as well as an in class sporting event.

Each class will begin in prayer and include presentations on weekly themed homework, new concept instruction time, and hands on practice.

No photography experience required. Previous photography students are encouraged to return and enjoy the challenges of new assignments and projects.

This course can be taken for high school fine arts credit.

Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work at the CHAT Spring Showcase.
