Dear Parents of 5th-6th Graders,

First, I want to let you know how much I enjoy this group of students.  I love being their tutor because I love these kids.

It is now necessary to send these students a reminder and let you know of a change in policy regarding phones. 

Study Hall: If your student has a study hall, they MUST stay in the Commons area.  They may not run around the halls, go outside, or be in the student lounge.  If they cannot manage this, parents will need to come and oversee their free period.

Phones: I am implementing a new policy regarding phones for students in grades 3-6 only.  If your student has a phone and brings it to CHAT, it needs to remain in their backpack for the entire day.  The only time they may take it out and use it is when they are done with their day and potentially connecting with you. If they need to connect with you during the day, they will need to tell me they are using their phone.  I am assuming this will be only during the lunch period. If you ever need to reach your student during school hours, please text me at 952-484-6273.  Please contact me if you think your student needs an exception to this policy.
