Dear Parents,
Please share the attached Student Handbook with your student(s).  They are responsible for knowing what CHAT's policies are regarding phone use, open campus, skipping class, etc.  It also includes our dress code.  Since it is supposed to be warm this week, please review the dress code with them if you feel it is necessary. We made a few changes from last year, so here it is for your convenience:

Our goal is to have what we wear at CHAT (tutors, students, and parents) to be modest so as to not be distracting or cause offense.

 Upper body:

1. Shirts must have shoulder straps that are at least 2 adult fingers wide on the top of the shoulder.

2. Tops and bottoms must overlap so midriff skin is not exposed.

3.  Necklines should not be revealing.

 Lower body:

1. All shorts must have an inseam of at least 3 inches.

2. The minimum length of skirts allowed is 3 inches above the knees.  (Shorter skirts can be worn if shorts are worn underneath and these shorts have the 3-inch inseam.)

3. The entire front and buttocks area must be covered if wearing leggings or anything that tightly hugs the skin.

Thanks much.

Laura
